A personal relaxation piece. I am really enjoying playing around with environments lately. This was a play with mark making and a strong focal point.

Thanks for looking.

Been speaking to some friends and artists lately and it's really given me some major inspiration and motivation back.  Now, trying to tackle environments more seriously. Need to get them juicy brush marks and textures in there :D
The idea behind the concept is that the player has followed the cable on ground through the level and now finds himself at an abandoned industrial site.

Part 2 of the swedish countryside studies I am doing. Having a lot of fun with these. Same location as the last one but a different house and a different view.
Was thinking that this could be a later event, something bad happened here.
Thanks for looking.

A study that turned into a simple illustration. My father feeding a beast in the swedish country side :)
Playing around with my mark making, trying to relax a little bit more and put down fewer strokes but in correct places. Not there yet but very interesting test for me.

The Bullet is the main hitman for the crew. He is highly reliable but his sadistic nature makes the other families frown whenever used.

Saturday, July 19, 2014

This is Laurel "Scarlet" Adams. She is another mafia crew member, seductive and witty Scarlet is the more subtle option and far more reliable than Knuckles.

This is Roger "Knuckles" Banes. A maffia thug, very prone to violence. He is not the most subtle of characters but he gets the job done.

This is a piece that started out a character style test but I enjoyed the test so much I decided to turn it into a scene, kind of an in game screen shot for a point and click adventure game.
Working with selection tool and just filling in the shapes was great fun, I need to try this more often.
The character with the red hair and coat in the background was designed by Cristina Lavina here at work. She left recently, and I really miss her T_T

The Wolverine has always been one of my favorite Marvel characters. I wanted to do my take on the guy and here he is.

My first piece of 2014!
I tried to work with a more limited color palette and focus on mood and action.
